1. What is Aramid Fiber?

Aramid fibers are a class of heat-resistant and strong synthetic fibers, widely used in protective clothing, aerospace, military, and industrial applications. The most common aramid types are:

3. What is an Aramid Dyeing Carrier?

An aramid dyeing carrier (also called dyeing assistant or swelling agent) is a chemical auxiliary that temporarily modifies the aramid fiber structure to enable dye penetration. Here is how it works:

The aramid dyeing carrier molecules penetrate the fiber and locate between polymer chains. They lower the glass transition temperature (Tg) from 160โ€“170°C down to 130โ€“135°C โ€” a critical difference that makes dyeing possible.

How to Choose?

5. Aramid Dyeing Application Process

Follow these steps for optimal results with DNK-001 or CAD-45:

Fill vessel with water, add 2โ€“4 g/L carrier (DNK-001 or CAD-45), adjust pH to 3.0โ€“4.0 with acetic acid

Load aramid fabric/yarn into the dyeing vessel. Standard liquor ratio: 1:8 to 1:12

Can aramid fiber be dyed without a carrier?

What is the difference between DNK-001 and CAD-45?
